Sad Idea
I just read a freind’s blog on myspace about her family’s dog being put to sleep because she was sick. I literally started crying reading it because I physically cannot imagine losing one of my dogs. They can make me lose my mind sometimes, mostly when Charlotte goes nuts at the window or Shadow eats garbage. Or when they decide that the middle of the living room is now Doggie Wrestle-mania. But they are totally part of the family now, and I can’t imgine losing them, let alone chosing that they need to be put to sleep and holding them while it happened. They’ll both turn 3 this winter, so let’s all hope and pray they live till they’re elderly pupsters.
Welcome to me!
Tim set up this nifty little corner of the web just for me! I’ll (hopefully) be writing here fairly often to talk about lots of things. Topics will probably include weight loss, road trips, work, crafts, friends, parties, my crazy dogs, my BF Tim, ham radio, politics, news stories, etc etc etc.
I figure most people who see this page will probably know me anyway and don’t need my life story as background (”I was born on a sultry day in June…”) but here is the sweet and lowdown. I am 26 years old, I live in Columbus, Ohio with my BF, our two dogs and his 6 year old daughter part time. I grew up in Toledo, went to college in Cleveland, and then grad school back in Toledo - so basically I am an Ohio girl through and through. I am an epidemiologist (which means I do data analysis with health-related data, not a pregnancy detector) working with maternal and child health data, mostly pregnancy and early infancy. I love music, science, diet Dr Pepper, a good TV show, comedy, Woodchuck, books, fashion, crafts, politics, my family and friends - but not in that order.
So I guess we’ll just leave it at WELCOME!
